Rental store supplier Makinex has moved to warehouse equipment in Mississauga, Ont. The deal gives Makinex flexible space for as many as 10 40-foot containers. It will use the space to hold inventory for the eastern Canada market, including powered hand trucks with big wheel kits for the Canadian market, Jack Hammer trolleys, Tile Smasher heads, floor strippers, Hose2Gos, Dual pressure washers, three-phase, nine and 16 kW generators, mixing stations (including the new Makinex mixer) and plenty of marketing material for local rental companies. Makinex also inventories equipment in Thunder Bay, Ont., to serve the central and western regions.
Our decision was easy because of the volume of customers that are bringing the Makinex line into Canadian rental stores,” said Peter Maginnis, Makinex general manager. “We currently have partnerships with all of the large regional and national rental accounts that are using our equipment. We want to serve the independent rental companies as well. By having local stock it will be easier for the independent rental companies to get access to our equipment.”
